9/11 v s 11/9 9/11 gave a heartattack to the whole world 11/9 gave a bigger heartattack to my world Every one has Diwali on this 11/9/2007, c r a c k e r s, b o m b s , * & ^ % $ Mine had started with a beautiful(est) evening at the Navy Pier, where i felt like the first time ever on the top of the world. As time went on I felt the floor under my feet, shaking and fall suddenly landing me back to the earth. It made be understand, that I could never be in such a beautiful place again. I dont know how much time it has taken for US guys alive after Twin towers shock to come back to normal life. Have to wait and watch if i can restore back after this heartattack like the US. Hope I could be in same beautiful place again ;) Hope that Time does not rapidly change for me and give a chance to sink up with the rapid changes happening in my life.

Many a time ... Many a time, I find it difficult to show that my principles are worth following ... Am I being too ideal, surely I am not ... or Am I? Right now, I found it really difficult to prove that sharing information is worth to reduce the burden I have taken to find the information, because the other guy is advantageous of finding the information quickly and can move ahead sooner than me... right? But I really learnt a lesson, that the help should go to the correct person or it may/will be misused. I am not worried of being hurt by my principles. But I was really hurt someone else got hurt due to this. Now, I will surely be critical about my actions and make sure none is hurt from the stupid principles (thats what everyone thinks yaar ;)

Seems to be good with minimum features of an editor, links, images. But does not seem to have any hi-fi features right now, have to Wait-n-See whats in store for us from the Software Gaint ...
Google into the mobile industry? Google acquires the Web-based calling service GRAND-Central. Is it going to be stepping stone for Google to the huge mobile industry, where Google's footprint is missing. May be sooner, we will see about the Google's phone too ... That will surely threaten all those out in the mobile industry. I feel that its time to find a common platform for all the Google applications to run from network on a browser(or something like that) rather than on an Operating System. Picasa/Gtalk etc... are some that are still OS dependent to run :) I would love to see an Operating system that runs from RAM and 1G or 2G of HD space, with an internet connection and all application by default saving the files to Google Server.
FILE TRANSFERs from MINIX to HOST : This gets files from minix VM to a host system ... 1. Set up a serial port mapped to output file for the Minix VM, say to c:\scratch.ser 2. start Minix virtual machine for which the serial port is setup 3. tar up the file(s) you want to move from Minix to Host: tar cvf /tmp/mytempfile.tar /usr/src_modified 4. uencode the files and write directly to the serial port uue /tmp/mytempfile.tar - >/dev/tty00 5. when uuencode returns prompt.. on Host machine copy the serial file to mytempfile.tar.uue 6. halt minix, close VM, delete the serial file (if it's big) 7. uudecode and untar using winzip/winrar ...
Minix3 Installation 1. Download Vmware Player 2.0 from this location ... 2. Download the Minix Virtual machine from this location ...or install Minix using this CD from the book ... 3. Install Vmware Player/Workstation and open the Minix virtual machine using the file menu ... 4. Create a virtual floppy drive for this machine using the options in Edit Virtual Machine Settings menu. Make sure that an image is created for this image drive in '.img' format. 5. Boot the machine using 'Start this virtual machine option' 6. Make all the required changes, do 'make world' 7. Make sure that the Minix VM either has the floppy drive mapped to the actual floppy drive or an .img file on the Host machine. 8. then goto /usr/src/tools run 'make fdboot', when it asks for the floppy drive give fd0 which has a blank image created for writing the boot image. 9. It seems the world is more oriented towards frontend ? What's this frontend ? Maybe User Interface in the IT field Maybe Soft Skills in the Interview Maybe The Skin in the Marriage Everyone is getting more oriented in getting the things done, than thinking will it work or does it have a better way of doing it? Yes, if the orientation is towards the betterness than the readiness, there would be less failures and better products, than many products with many modifications that might not work. That seems to be the reasons for many lawsuits, divorces, firings being seen all around the world. One day, I would like to see a world which balances the importance of Cook N Cleaner Application N System Programmer Skin N Heart Presentation N Matter Money N Value Am I generalizing it a lot, hope you got the actual point?
2000 - 2007 A journey from the phase of lucks to phase of failures ... I am not sure if I could add this year 2007 to the phase of failures ... 2000 has been really lucky year for me, I almost outperformed my expectations in all the 3 goals I wanted to reach to ... 2001-2005 was just joyful phase where I had my ups and downs, beaten up expected failures and unwanted luck ... 2006 I was back to square one, loosing all I got in luck and even that I got by little hardwork ... Atlast, I am now back in my rebuilding phase in 2007, hoping not too get carried away by the luck and not to stop putting my hardwork at halt ... But one thing that always I had in my mind was the 'HOPE', that I can get back even if I am at bottom of the well (or) if I am 5-19 in the table tennis game. Uday this is a warning for you ;) Hope this 'HOPE' is always with me :)
Is it really necessary to get AAA??? I am not really sure whether it makes any sense of getting AAAs? My friends made fool of me when they knew that I got BCC, may be everyone in this world thinks that marks on the sheet are more important than other things in the world ... Every semester or year, when I am studying I put up some targets myself, not really related to the technical stuff, more of presentation or other skills. I have been utterly failing from few years and the same happened with the grades B,C,C in this Spring 2007 ... Should I leave the targets and go ahead with new ??? Not really, C,C in two subjects hmm, I will have to retake the two subjects again. This remembers me of favorite quote from my father's prayer in the morning ... Worry ?:? May 6th 2007 I have never worried much about the exams before ... May be because I have never aimed for something from the exams ... May 6th having two exams and a shift in subway, I was rather much worried :?: Suddenly where did this worry attack me from ... The worry came from a burn on 4 fingers of my hand ... But atlast with handful of bandages from my friends, I did write my exams well and done the shift at subway too ... Hopefully I will get an A ... Keep peeking friends, I will keep updating more worries too ;)
Installing Bochs/Unix_v6 on your 32-bit Linux machine Start of with downloading the latest bochs source from this site . I have downloaded this snapshot. Syntax vs Logic Just got an idea while preparing for interview ... Does the knowledge in a syntax/grammar for a programming language really beat the logical knowledge. I was preparing for lab interview who has asked for php, perl, cgi, bash, html, sql etc ... skillset. I knew syntax only for C language, no other language. Will I be able to convince the interviewer is the question, with my logical knowledge ? First round of interview seems to have gone thru, will see what happen with the rest? Will wait n see and for the remaining interview rounds and let you know.
